Can you believe that it is already the first day of the third month of school. Time is passing by so very fast. (L--)
The first of the month means new table groups and pencils/erasers (L---)We learned that sound moves faster through solids than air or liquids. (R------) This is because the particles are closer together in a solid. (W-----) We investigated tin can phones. We spoke to each other, some of us closed the door between us, and others went around the corner. We learned that you have to put the can all the way around our mouth for the other person to hear. (B------) We could try to make one at home. (J----) We did two letters in handwriting--Gg and Hh. (J----) Today was a very cold day--time to get ready for winter! (K----) Some of us did more work with number patterns. Some students have homework to complete. Here is a great idea to try at home: Roll 2 dice to generate a 2-digit number then roll one die to make the rule. Write the next 5 numbers. For example: I roll a 5 and a 4. My number could be 54 or 45. Then a roll a 2. My rule can be +2 or -2. 54, 56, 58, 60, 62.
