Yesterday we had an awesome field trip to the Glenbow Museum so today we wrote a memory for our memory jar and then students created a highlight page of the trip in their visual journals.
"It was the best field trip ever!!" A----- as he headed for the school bus yesterday.
In writing, we continue to work on developing descriptive language to develop setting in our story writing. The students looked at wordless books and determined where they thought the setting took place and wrote descriptive words for what they would see and hear.
For math, we are now looking at a collection and determining a fraction. For example if there are 5 students and 2 of them are girls what fraction of the group are girls? are boys? Today we used red and yellow counters to make different groups and write fractions.
In-Line skating starts on Thursday morning. Students are encouraged to bring in their own helmets and pads (optional).
