Did your child leave the school super excited? Our Science class today was a Jeopardy game on the Animal unit we have been doing. We are nearing the end and the game was a review of some of the concepts learned. The students were in teams and together they answered questions to earn points. Needless to say it was a very exciting hour of the day. Many students wanted the website--Jeopardlabs.com Students can create their own jeopardy game. We didn't finish the game so will continue it tomorrow followed by our unit test.
We also watched Bill Nye's video on Birds and took notes about what information was learned.
This morning we finished learning all the letters in handwriting and now we will progress to writing sentences and doing extra practise with letters that have been forgotten and develop a consistent size. Hopefully by spring break some students will be handwriting all the time.
For math, the students were engaged in a multiplication game. Ask your child to explain it.
