This was the last day to work on our ear models for Science. After the model was complete students labelled each part of the ear. Ask your child to explain how the ear works when sound waves enter the ear canal.
For writing, the class could choose whether to design a pizza or a jack o lantern. They first drew their design and then using words described what it would look like. They are asked to use many descriptive, juicy words in their writing. We will continue to work on these on Thursday.
In math, we looked at 4 different growing patterns. Students observed the differences for each picture and figured out how a pattern was growing. (Adding 1 each time, counting by 2 using odd #'s etc. We will be making growing patterns of our own on Thursday.
We went to the library today so you might find new books in backpacks.
Tomorrow is our field trip to the Bell Centre. Volunteers please check in at the office and then meet us in the classroom. The bus will leave the school at 8:45. Please remember to pack a litterless lunch, a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes.
