The temperature outside made it a "blue day", which meant all students were indoors for the entire day.
We started our day with our read aloud, "The one and only Ivan", which has us talking about the treatment of animals. Then off we went to gym. Afterwards the students learned how to handwrite the letters Oo and Pp.
We continued to work on the math test from yesterday and the jumpstart math from Monday. Those that were finished both of these had some time on Mathletics working on addition and subtraction.
For Science, we started talking about life cycles of animals. We watched a video from Bill Nye on this topic. The students have brought home a research paper to fill out some information on their own lifecycle. Students will also be working on a research project about this topic. At this time we would like everyone to pick an animal, that they know nothing or very little about.
