It was a very snowy day and the children have to once again learn how to put on their snowsuits and jackets and everything takes so much longer getting ready to go outside.
For literacy, some worked with Mrs. Leonard on sight words and reading. Others heard some book talks and wrote their first 3 choices of books they would like to read during book clubs, which starts on Monday. We finished our session with an old fashioned Spelling Bee.
For math, we did some problems that involved making a chart and looking for patterns. For example: if one person has 2 feet how many feet are there with 20 people?
For Science, the children went on 2Learn.ca and did some different activities to do with hearing and ear safety. Then they did a bit of research to get ready to make their homemade instrument. In backpacks you will find a letter explaining this project and a rough sketch of their ideas.
Also in backpacks is your child's swimming certificate.
