A note from Mrs. H-McD.
Our Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 Winter Concert this year is titled “December Round the World”. The theme focuses on “traditions held in different countries around this time of year. We will discover the special preparations for Chinese New Year, Germany’s St.Nicholas Day tradition of a hidden pickle in the Tannenbaum, the seven principles of Kwanzaa from Africa, the miracle and lights of Hanukkah, festivities of Mexico’s Las Posadas and North American Christmas.” In learning our lines and music we will share the universal message of peace, and hope for our world and school community. If you have a child who is unable to participate in our production this year. Please email their homeroom teacher and Music Teacher, Mrs. Henderson-McDade as soon as possible. During our practice music time your child will be given a separate activity to do.

Please continue to practice putting on winter/colder weather clothing. It takes us a great deal of time to get ready each day to get ready and now with the increased amount of clothing it will take even longer. We do use classroom buddies to help but if we can put things on ourselves we will be quicker to get out of the school.
